Peñíscola

Peñíscola is one of the most iconic destinations on the Costa del Azahar, famous for its spectacular walled old town that extends into the sea and its impressive medieval castle.

The heart of the city is the Peñíscola Castle, a Templar fortress built on a rocky headland dominating the Mediterranean. It was the last residence of Pope Luna (Benedict XIII), a key figure during the Western Schism, making Peñíscola a unique place where history and legend meet.

The old town preserves its original medieval layout, with narrow cobbled streets, well-preserved walls, and constant sea views. This combination of historical heritage and coastal scenery has made Peñíscola one of the most visited destinations in the Valencian Community.

Its unique appearance has also made it a popular filming location for major productions, including the world-famous TV series Game of Thrones, further reinforcing its image as one of the most photogenic coastal towns in Spain.

Peñíscola combines Templar history, papal legacy, Mediterranean culture, and stunning sea views, making it one of the must-visit day trips from Valencia.

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Up to one week before the event: 100% refund, either in cash or as a credit voucher, based on your preference.
From one week to 72 hours before: 100% refund only as a credit voucher.
Less than 72 hours before: No refunds.
In case of a medical emergency or force majeure (with valid proof), or  due to weather conditions, the event will be rescheduled, or the credit voucher will be issued for use within one year.

Proof of emergency must be submitted before the event. No refunds after the event.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
