Sierra de Irta is also an area rich in historical heritage. During the hike, you may encounter ancient defensive structures and watchtowers, as well as nearby medieval landmarks such as the castles of Alcalà de Xivert and Santa Magdalena de Pulpis, which reflect the strategic importance of this coastline throughout history.

One of the highlights of the experience is the connection between mountain and sea. Several sections of the route allow access to secluded beaches and untouched natural areas, offering a rare opportunity to enjoy the Mediterranean in its most authentic form.

After the hike, visitors can continue their experience in the nearby coastal town of Peñíscola, one of the most beautiful villages in the Valencian Community. Its historic old town rises above the sea, crowned by the iconic 14th-century Papa Luna Castle, which stands 64 metres above the water and offers spectacular panoramic views of the coastline.

Peñíscola is also known for its cinematic atmosphere, having served as a filming location for international productions such as Game of Thrones, and its historic centre was declared a protected area for its cultural value and preservation.

During the walk we will stop at different caves and have lunch in one of them.
We will have our time to relax on the beaches and we will arrive at Peñíscola.

We arrive in Peñíscola: free time to discover this wonderful city, its castle and to relax on its beach.

Back to Valencia

We will meet on the bus to go back to Valencia

Yes, it is recommended to bring your own food because in most of the hiking places it is not possible to buy it.

Do I need to know how to use a map?

You don’t need to know how to use map, bacause the mountain tours have a professional mountain guide.

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

The cancellation & refund policy is as following:

Up to one week before the event: 100% refund, either in cash or as a credit voucher, based on your preference.

From one week to 72 hours before: 100% refund only as a credit voucher.

Less than 72 hours before: No refunds.

In case of a medical emergency or force majeure (with valid proof), or due to weather conditions, the event will be rescheduled, or the credit voucher will be issued for use within one year.

Proof of emergency must be submitted before the event. No refunds after the event.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
