Itinerary

Day 1 Departure from Valencia

At 5:00 a.m. we leave from Av. Aragón 31

We arrive, visit a couple of villages, have lunch and then head to Espot.

We will check in and rest for a while.
Then we will go to buy meat/vegetables (there is a shop near the hotel), as we are having a BBQ at the hotel in the evening (this will give us the opportunity to get to know each other a little better).

After the hike, we will return to the lake and enjoy nature (each person can stay as long as they want and then return to the hotel in a 4×4).

Day 2Activities and Villages

We wake up, have breakfast, and get ready to go.

Today we will visit villages and do Via Ferrata (optional).

In the afternoon we will return to Espot to rest and get ready for the next day’s route.

Day 3Day of hiking and vielha / Aran Park

We wake up, have breakfast and are ready at 9am.

The mountain route everyone has been waiting for, the Montcorbison route or similar. Medium-high level, with breathtaking views. It is also possible to do only half the route and return to Vielha. We wake up early, get on the bus and set off on the route. After the route, we have dinner in Vielha and return to the hotel / or we return to the hotel earlier and have dinner in Espot (depending on the route).

Day 4Aiguestortes National Park and Departure

We wake up, have breakfast and check out.

Today we are going to visit Aguastortas National Park and Lake San Mauricio.

*** Each person gets their own ticket for the transport (4×4) so they can go up to the lake (Recommended option: Extra cost €10/12 – Return trip – Payable IN CASH). You can also walk to the lake (7 km). (Less recommended option: because we are going to do the hiking route afterwards).

Once we arrive at the lake, we enjoy lunch (we bring this lunch prepared from home (see ‘Details’ section below) and start the route to the Ratera waterfall. We can also continue on to Lake Ratera.

After the hike, we will return to the lake and enjoy nature (as long as you like, and then you will return to the hotel in a 4×4).

After the hike, we will return to Valencia.

Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park (Day 1)

Vielha: Capital of Valle de Aran (Day 2)

Vielha, also known as “The City Between Mountains” (Vielha e Mijaran), is the essential village of the Catalan Pyrenees and the capital of the Aran Valley. Situated at nearly 1,000 meters altitude, Vielha is one of the largest towns in the area. Its rich architectural and cultural heritage make it a key Cultural Interest site in the Aran Valley. Visitors can explore its medieval churches, local museums, and traditional Aranese houses, all set against a stunning mountain backdrop.

 

Arties: A Gem in the Pyrenees

Arties, a charming village in the Aran Valley, sits at 1,144 meters altitude, just 7 km from Baqueira Beret ski resort and Vielha. At the confluence of the Valarties and Garona rivers, it was named one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in Spain” in 2023. Influencers adore its cobbled streets and houses made of stone, wood, and black slate. In the village center, visit the 16th-century Portolá manor house, once home to California’s first governor, Gaspar de Portolá.

 

Salardú: Another Gem in the Catalan Pyrenees

Salardú, a charming village in the Catalan Pyrenees, is located at 1,268 meters above sea level in the Val d’Aran. This mountain destination captivates visitors with its breathtaking landscapes, traditional stone houses, and rich historical heritage. Pic Montcorbison: A Paradise for Hikers

Medium-high level (optional) and half of it can be done with medium level.

Pic Montcorbison, accessible from Vielha, offers one of the best hiking experiences in the Catalan Pyrenees. With an altitude of 2,170 metres, this peak provides stunning panoramic views of the Aran Valley. The trail is well signposted and is suitable for hikers of all levels. A must for nature lovers, the Pic Montcorbison showcases the stunning beauty and tranquillity of the region.

 

Vall de Aran: The Atlantic Gem of the Catalan Pyrenees

Val d’Aran, the only Atlantic valley in the Catalan Pyrenees, offers high mountain terrain, impressive glacial lakes, top hiking routes, and unique culture and gastronomy. Located in Lérida, Catalonia, its capital is Vielha e Mijaran, also known as Viella or Vielha. Discover the charm and natural beauty of this exceptional region.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation policy for the trip to the Catalan Pyrenees:

Up to 30 days 80% of the total amount will be refunded.

Up to 3 weeks 60% of the total amount.

Up to 15 days 50% of the total amount.

Less than 15 days before the trip, we cannot refund any money unless it is due to government restrictions or health emergency.

If you arrive late at the meeting point, we will not refund your money and you will lose it.

The programme is designed with a lot of experience and guides but there may be changes due to traffic, weather or other better alternative (we will inform you by mail and WhatsApp group).

The booking fee and activities are non-refundable.
