Cueva Tallada

Cueva Tallada is one of the most spectacular excursions on the Costa Blanca, located between Dénia and Jávea, within the protected area of Montgó Natural Park.

This impressive sea cave has been carved into limestone cliffs by the action of the Mediterranean Sea over centuries, creating a unique landscape of natural tunnels, rock formations, and open sea views.

The access is done via a coastal hiking trail along the cliffs, making the experience a perfect mix of hiking and coastal adventure. Along the route, visitors enjoy breathtaking scenery until reaching the cave, where the contrast between rock and turquoise water creates a truly unforgettable setting.

Cueva Tallada is an ideal destination for nature lovers, hikers, and travelers looking for a unique experience on the coast, offering one of the most photogenic and special excursions in the region.

What to bring

  • Beach equipment: swimming costume, towels, sun cream
  • Food and water: It is very important to bring food and water because you cannot buy anything in the cave
  • Shoes / Boots: You should bring shoes suitable for walking in the mountains and for getting into the water
  • For snorkelling: snorkelling equipment and if you want to discover the inside of the cave, don't forget your torch or headlamp.
Itinerary

Departure from Valencia

Departure from Valencia from Avenida Aragon 31, in front of Mestalla.

Arrival

We arrive, we drink coffee and we start the route.

Back to the bus to go to Denia or Javea

After enjoying the caves (2 hours) we will go to Denia or Javea to enjoy the beach, town or bars.

Do we have to be fit to do the hiking route?

You need to be physically fit to do the hiking route.

What is the hiking route difficulty?

Should we bring our own food?

Yes, it is recommended to bring your own food because in most of the hiking places it is not possible to buy it.

 

What do I need to hike?

You can consult the section “what to bring” & “hiking description” where it will be clearly mentioned what you need for the excursion. You will also receive an email after the reservation  with detailed information.

Do I need to know how to use a map?

You don’t need to know how to use map, bacause the mountain tours have a professional mountain guide.

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Up to one week before the event: 100% refund, either in cash or as a credit voucher, based on your preference.
From one week to 72 hours before: 100% refund only as a credit voucher.
Less than 72 hours before: No refunds.
In case of a medical emergency or force majeure (with valid proof), or  due to weather conditions, the event will be rescheduled, or the credit voucher will be issued for use within one year.

Proof of emergency must be submitted before the event. No refunds after the event.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
