Altea and Benidorm

Altea and Benidorm are two of the most contrasting and iconic destinations on the Costa Blanca, combining traditional Mediterranean charm, beaches, and modern lifestyle in a single experience.

Altea captivates visitors with its whitewashed old town overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, its narrow cobbled streets, and the emblematic Church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo, one of the most recognizable landmarks along the entire coast. Its artistic atmosphere, art galleries, and peaceful seafront promenade make Altea the perfect place to enjoy the most authentic essence of the Mediterranean.

Benidorm, on the other hand, is one of the most famous cities on the Spanish coastline, known as the “Manhattan of the Mediterranean” for its impressive skyline of skyscrapers by the sea. Its long golden sandy beaches, such as Levante and Poniente, together with its lively coastal atmosphere, offer a completely different experience, ideal for enjoying the sea, the vibrant energy, and panoramic views.

Both destinations offer a unique combination of culture, beach life, and modern Mediterranean lifestyle, making them one of the most complete and varied day trips from Valencia.

ALTEA

Altea is one of the most authentic gems of the Costa Blanca and one of the most photographed towns in the entire Valencian Community.

Its whitewashed old town is a maze of cobbled streets, stairways, and white houses that create a unique atmosphere overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Walking through its streets, you will reach the Church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo, the most iconic landmark of Altea, famous for its distinctive blue and white dome that contrasts beautifully with the whitewashed town.

From the Mirador de los Cronistas de España, visitors can enjoy panoramic views over the old town and the sea, while the Portal Vell viewpoint offers one of the most breathtaking perspectives on the entire Costa Blanca.

Altea also invites visitors to enjoy its seafront promenade, crystal-clear beaches, and relaxed atmosphere, making it a perfect destination to combine culture, views, and the sea in one place.

BENIDORM

Benidorm is one of the most iconic destinations on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, known as the “Manhattan of the Mediterranean” due to its impressive skyline of skyscrapers by the sea.

The city perfectly combines the energy of a modern resort with the charm of its golden sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. Its old town preserves the Mediterranean essence with narrow streets, small squares, and the traditional church in the historic centre.

One of its most emblematic spots is the Balcón del Mediterráneo, a viewpoint offering panoramic views over Levante and Poniente beaches, two of the most famous beaches on the Costa Blanca.

Benidorm also stands out for its unique skyline, where buildings such as the Gran Hotel Bali have become symbols of the city’s modern identity. Between the sea, urban life, and panoramic views, Benidorm offers a completely different experience within the Costa Blanca.
