info@wexcursion.comThe Ponoig via ferrata, located in Polop, just 20 minutes from Benidorm, is one of the most spectacular in Alicante and offers an exciting combination of vertical and aerial sections. The route is mainly equipped with metal rungs, making for a challenging but rewarding ascent.
What sets this via ferrata apart is its descent: unlike others that have a path or trail, here you will rappel down for an unforgettable experience. From the top of León Dormido, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Meeting point: Av. Aragón, 31. Please be 15min before at the meeting point.
We arrive at via ferrata and start the route.
Next we will go to visit Alicante.
We meet at the bus and go back to Valencia.
Time: approximately 3 hours
Length: 230 meters
Difficulty level: K4 Medium high (ideal for those with some experience, but also suitable for beginners with us).
The route has two vertical sections, with closely spaced staples that make the climb more impressive than difficult. It is continuous, offers few rest points, and provides a great sense of height without too many dynamic elements.
At the top, you’ll reach the Sleeping Lion, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Costa Blanca, including Altea, La Nucia, Callosa de Segura and Benidorm.
The fun doesn’t end here, the descent is done by rappel, with two lines of 25 and 35 meters to finish off the adventure.
Difficulty: This route has a difficulty of K4, is quite vertical, so it is ideal to have traveled some other route that has less difficulty.
