Also this year we are going to discover the jewels that are hidden in the Pyrenees and in particular in the Irati Forest. This forest is known as the magical forest of the Pyrenees, which changes its colours as the seasons change and autumn is the best time to visit it because it offers enchanting colours.
After the Black Forest in Germany, this site is the second largest beech forest in Europe and hides rivers, waterfalls, caves and hanging bridges that will leave you speechless.
During this trip we will not only do two hiking routes in Aezkoa Valley and Salazar Valley that hide three nature reserves, the integral reserve of Lizardoia, the nature reserve of Mendilatz and Tristuibartea, but we will also discover Tudela and the Bardenas desert, Olite castle and Pamplona.

We will leave in the afternoon So YOU DON’T LOOSE THE THURSDAY (WORKING DAY). We go directly to Pamplona to our hotel. On Arrival we have a small rest and we go out for dinner and Halloween celebration. (Not so late because the next day we have the hike day).
We wake up, have breakfast and then go for a 15 km easy medium level route in the Salazar valley where we will discover lakes and waterfalls. After the route we visit Ochagavía and at around 19:00 we return to Pamplona.
After breakfast we will do another famous route of Selva de Irati, Mirador de Zamariain. It is 10 km of easy-medium level (details below) in the valley of Aezkoa. After the hike we return to Pamplona and we will have 2 options: visit Pamplona or go to the Castle of Olite, one of the 5 best castles in Spain. In the evening we return to our hotel and enjoy the night together.
On the last day, we will take it easy. We can wake up early and take a guided tour of Pamplona or wake up a little late and go directlly to bus. We will leave at 11:00 to desert of BARDENAS REALES (Natural Park of 42,500 hectares, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO). We will stop for 4 hours so you can enjoy the desert and the town of Tudela. After lunch in Tudela we will leave for Valencia.
Tudela Bardenas Reales
This site is a natural park of 42,500 hectares declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco. Its hidden gems will make you feel as if you were in a film. During our trip it is possible to visit it with the bus or with two optional activities: a 4×4 or segway route.
Salazar Valley
The Salazar Valley is made up of different charming villages such as Escaroz, Esparza de Salazar, Gallués, Izal, Ochagavia, Sarriés, Uscarrés, next to the rivers Salazar, Urbeltza and Urtxuria. There is also the Irabia reservoir, which is a natural site, and the Orhi peak, which is 2000 metres high.
It is a place full of art, history, architecture and much more where you can discover a rich culture and gastronomy.
Aezkova Valley
This valley is characterised by 12,000 hectares of forest with the Irati forest where you can find hidden gems such as caves, dolmens, hermitages and stelae that create the identity of this place.
The valley is made up of nine municipalities including Abaurrea Alta or “the balcony of Aezkoa” which is the highest.
Ochagavía
Ochagavía is one of the most beautiful villages of our visit and if you are a fan of photography you cannot miss it because the afternoon sunlight creates incredible facets on the houses located in front of the river Anduña.
Pamplona
Of course, on our trip we will also discover the beautiful Pamplona, capital of Navarra, which today thanks to its millions of square metres of parks and gardens is one of the most important green cities in Europe.
This is the city where our hotel is located and which we will discover with a guided tour.
Castle of Olite
This site has a beautiful castle which is in the top 5 of the Spanish castles for its creaminess and its luxury, it is one of the most beautiful gothic style sites in Europe and was declared a National Monument in 1925.

We have carefully chosen our hotel to be comfortable and in a convenient position between all the places we will visit. This hotel is located in the centre of Pamplona. The rooms are triple rooms and if you want a double room, you can ask for an extra.
