Puig Campana (Km Vertical)

In the province of Alicante, the Puig Campana is both the second highest and the most difficult peak. However, from its 1,480 meters we can enjoy the most impressive 360-degree views of the surroundings. The cumulative drop of more than a thousand meters, as well as the rocky and steep terrain are what contribute to the level of difficulty. To complete this expedition it is necessary to be in excellent physical shape and have previous mountaineering experience.

08:00Departure from Valencia

Meeting at 7:45h at Av.Aragón 31 in front of Mestalla.

10:00Arrival and start of the hiking

We arrive, take a short break for a drink and start the route.

In the middle of the hike

In the middle of the route we will stop for lunch.

16/16:30End of the hike

We finish the route and go for a drink before departure.

18:00Return to Valencia

We meet at the bus to return to Valencia.

It is a circular route that begins and ends in Finestrat. We will travel counterclockwise, so that we will ascend by “the channel” famed VERTICAL KM and then descend by the traditional path of the “Volta al Puig Campana” until we reach Finestrat. It is always better to go up than down.

We have to be fit to do the hiking route?

You need to be physically fit to do the hiking route.

What is the hiking route difficulty?

Should we bring our own food?

Yes, it is recommended to bring your own food because in most of the hiking places it is not possible to buy it.

 

What do I need to hike?

You can consult the section “what to bring” & “hiking description” where it will be clearly mentioned what you need for the excursion. You will also receive an email after the reservation  with detailed information.

Do I need to know how to use a map?

You don’t need to know how to use map, bacause the mountain tours have a professional mountain guide.

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

In case of day trips (same day return):

  • Up to one week before the excursion 100% refund in the form of money or voucher for other excursions.
  • Until Thursday (20:00) of the same week of the excursion 100% refund in the form of a travel voucher.
  • After Thursday, no refund. 

In case of a trip of more than one day (Overnight)

  • Up to 1 month before: 100% refund
  • Up to 3 weeks: 80% refund
  • Up to 2 weeks: 50% refund
  • After 2 weeks: No refund

In case of no-show on the day of travel there is no refund, in case of late arrival at the meeting point there is no refund.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
