On the route called “Senda dels Navaters” or “Ruta de las Cavas”, you will discover surprising ICE cellars with an unusual and unusual structure. They were used to store ice, food and medicines. Some of them are still preserved and are an excellent example of this popular architecture.

We will meet at 8:45 at the meeting point (Avenida Aragon, 31) to leave at 9:00.
Arriving in Alcoi we will have a coffee and start the route.
At the halfway point we will have a break for lunch.
After the route we have a drink together
At 18:00 we meet in the bus to go back to Valencia

Located in the municipality of Cocentaina, Montcabrer is the highest peak in the Sierra de Mariola, at 1390 metres high, and the third highest peak in the province of Alicante.
This route offers you a spectacular panoramic view of the sierra: forests, mountains, parks, reservoirs and even the Mediterranean are some of the wonders you can contemplate. In addition, if you are lucky, you will be able to see some reptiles such as snakes, birds such as hawks and partridges and mammals such as wild boar, rabbits and squirrels.
Montcabrer is an emblematic summit of the Alicante mountains for the landscapes it reveals in a peaceful and preserved natural environment. Come and explore it!
