Hiking Cabeço d'Or

A beautiful mountain located in the province of Alicante, it is surely one of the most important climbs and if you are a hiking lover, you can’t miss it. When you reach the top of the mountain, you will be able to admire an incredible view of green landscapes and other mountains around you. At 1209m high, from the top, you will be amazed without a doubt.

Itinerary

8:30Departure from Valencia

Meet at the meeting point, Avenida Aragon 31, (in front of Mestalla) at 8:15 am.

10:30Arrival at Cabeço d'Or

Once we get to Cabeo d’Or, we will stop for a toilet stop and a snack and then we will start the route.

Halfway

We will stop for lunch and continue our route.

16:00End of the route

At the end of the route we will have free time to have a drink and rest.

18:00Return to Valencia

We will meet the bus at 18:00 to return to Valencia.

Hiking Cabeço d’Or

Not only will you enjoy breathtaking views, but along the way you will be able to explore caves, rich in culture that will take you back in time. Continuing along this marvellous route, we will cross paths in the middle of nature and climb up emerging rocks. Legend has it that in the time of Muslim rule an Arab buried a prestigious treasure in the lands of Andalusia, after a random death, some searchers continued to look for it but, to this day, it is said that it has still not been found. Hence the name d’Or.

We have to be fit to do the hiking route?

You need to be physically fit to do the hiking route.

What is the hiking route difficulty?

You can find all the information of the hiking route in the hiking descrption section above (Distance, diffulty, Map, time etc..).

Should we bring our own food?

Yes, it is recommended to bring your own food because in most of the hiking places it is not possible to buy it.

 

What do I need to hike?

You can consult the section “what to bring” & “hiking description” where it will be clearly mentioned what you need for the excursion. You will also receive an email after the reservation  with detailed information.

Do I need to know how to use a map?

You don’t need to know how to use map, bacause the mountain tours have a professional mountain guide.

General Faqs

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

In case of day trips (same day return):

  • Up to one week before the excursion 100% refund in the form of money or voucher for other excursions.
  • Until Thursday (20:00) of the same week of the excursion 100% refund in the form of a travel voucher.
  • After Thursday, no refund. 

In case of a trip of more than one day (Overnight)

  • Up to 1 month before: 100% refund
  • Up to 3 weeks: 80% refund
  • Up to 2 weeks: 50% refund
  • After 2 weeks: No refund

In case of no-show on the day of travel there is no refund, in case of late arrival at the meeting point there is no refund.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).

Is food, entrance fee, etc. included?
