Get ready to discover a very special visit in a dream village. Alarcon, grown on the amazing gorge of the Jucar river is the most charming village of Castilla la Mancha, a place full of history and with one of the most beautiful trails in Spain. During this day you can enjoy the time strolling through its streets while meeting lots of new people, and to finish in beauty we will all go together for a snack and have fun invited by the town hall.

Hiking Alarcón

Alarcón, a small village that looks like something out of a fairy tale, can be seen from its spectacular access along a winding road, passing under an arch that encloses the village. Its historic-artistic ensemble is one of the most outstanding and its characteristic element is the castle, but also the churches and the mural paintings. In addition, Alarcon is a village viewpoint with wonderful panoramic views, from where you can admire the unique views of the Júcar gorge, also during the amazing trail.

We have to be fit to do the hiking route?

You need to be physically fit to do the hiking route.

What is the hiking route difficulty?

You can find all the information of the hiking route in the hiking descrption section above (Distance, diffulty, Map, time etc..).

Should we bring our own food?

Yes, it is recommended to bring your own food because in most of the hiking places it is not possible to buy it.

 

What do I need to hike?

You can consult the section “what to bring” & “hiking description” where it will be clearly mentioned what you need for the excursion. You will also receive an email after the reservation  with detailed information.

Do I need to know how to use a map?

You don’t need to know how to use map, bacause the mountain tours have a professional mountain guide.

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

In case of day trips (same day return):

  • Up to one week before the excursion 100% refund in the form of money or voucher for other excursions.
  • Until Thursday (20:00) of the same week of the excursion 100% refund in the form of a travel voucher.
  • After Thursday, no refund. 

In case of a trip of more than one day (Overnight)

  • Up to 1 month before: 100% refund
  • Up to 3 weeks: 80% refund
  • Up to 2 weeks: 50% refund
  • After 2 weeks: No refund

In case of no-show on the day of travel there is no refund, in case of late arrival at the meeting point there is no refund.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
