The first day we will leave early in the morning towards the Pyrenees, and our first stage will be the high mountain train in Laruns (France) for the Artouste high mountain train option, at an altitude of 2,000 metres, which is the highest tourist train in Europe (+25€) and which will allow us to visit the lakes of the French Pyrenees. Those who do not want to take the train, can enjoy the Fabrèges Lake. Afterwards we will go to the hotel to rest for a few hours and those who want to can go down to the village of Sallent de Gallego, to have dinner and enjoy before returning to the hotel to sleep.
On this second day we will visit the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, where you can choose what you prefer to do:
For the third day, we have come up with some optional activities from which it will be difficult to choose :O

This beautiful corner of natural paradise located in a natural park was even declared a World Heritage Site in 1997. Its waterfall is one of the highest in Europe, surrounded by its 15,608 hectares. Here you can do many activities such as hiking trails, rafting, horseback riding…etc. Always here, there are four valleys and a peak, Monte Perdido, which constitute a film landscape in which different ecosystems cohabit.
This stunning pristine territory that has been created by the action of glaciers on the border with France, is located in the Pyrenees National Park, and preserves some of the most impressive natural sites in the Pyrenees. Our journey will take us through some of the most stunning lakes and scenery on some of the most beautiful trails in the area, and we will find glaciers on the highest peaks, forests, lakes and rivers.
It is a beautiful village and has interesting monuments, such as its 16th century Gothic church and its medieval bridge, and a relaxing stroll through its streets will allow you to discover beautiful corners surrounded by an extraordinary landscape.
Ainsa, which was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Sobrarbe and was later incorporated into the Kingdom of Aragon in the 11th century, is an exceptional example of the urban style of the Middle Ages. Because of its old town centre, it has been recognised as a Historic-Artistic Site. Every year, the ‘Moors and Christians’ fair, called “La Morisma”, is also held there.
Between the hills of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, lies Torla Ordesa. It still preserves its traditional Pyrenean architecture, and overlooks the river Ara. We will be able to see its houses with wide doors, natural stone roofs, and also its traditional “witches’ chimneys” that have always been a great attraction for its tourism. So it is worth walking through this village and enjoying each house and its mountain atmosphere as a consequence of its location. So it is worth to walk around this village and enjoy each of the houses and its peculiar mountain atmosphere.
We can’t miss the opportunity to visit the old Canfranc Station (which nowadays is not working anymore). So fascinating that it has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and has been used as a backdrop for film and television productions.
The Pasarela is a 800-meter-long hanging walkway spans the Caldarés River’s gorge. The hike is breathtaking, traversing into previously inaccessible sections and over countless pools with breathtaking views of Panticosa and the entire Tena Valley.
Panticosa: The town’s popularity originates from its legendary spa, which is surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the Pyrenees. One of the main draws of the Tena Valley is the opportunity to unwind in the waters of one of the oldest spas in Europe.
Lanuza: You will fall in love with this charming settlement made of stone and slate, the product of the labor and zeal of its former residents to reclaim what the reservoir building had previously taken from them.
We have carefully chosen our hotel to be comfortable and conveniently located between all the places we will visit.
We have therefore selected our hotel with great care, a combination of natural scenery and local amenities, with magnificent views. Hotel SNÖ is one of the best hotels in the area and we were very comfortable there last year. The rooms are spacious and there are two swimming pools, one of which is heated. The breakfast is very varied, the rooms included are triple rooms, but you can ask for a double with an extra of 10€/pax, or single room with an extra of 50€/pax.
