After the Fallas of Valencia in March and In Castellon in April, we are now going to celebrate the Fallas of Alicante called Hogueras de San Juan. Let´s welcome the summer together in this beautiful city by experience the traditional parades and spectacles!

Alicante

Alicante is the second most populated municipality in the Valencian Community and it is loceted at the Meditereenien coast. The charm of its modernity as well as its stunning historical culture draws attention to this magical city.

We will explore the streets of Alicante and experience its rich culture by participating in one of the most celebrated festival of this region.

Hogueras de San Juan

The Hogueras de San Juan takes place from the 19th to the 24th of June and are characterised by music in the streets, artwork, colourful parades and spectacles.

This Fallas has their roots in ancestral celebrations. Besides music, stunning colors and authentic works of art, one of the most popular features is the parade of giant figures made of wood and cardboard. When we go on the 24th they also celebrate the “crema de Hogueras”. On this day, the figures are burnt in large bonfires. This tradition developed over the years, when the locals burned old junk in the streets to protect themselfs from evil spirits and welcome the summer. In 1928 the festivity of the Hogueras de San Juan were formally constituted.

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

In case of day trips (same day return)
Up to one week before the excursion 100% refund in the form of money or voucher for other excursions.
Until Thursday (20:00) of the same week of the excursion 100% refund in the form of a travel voucher.
After Thursday, no refund. 

In case of a trip of more than one day (Overnight)
Up to 1 month before: 100% refund
Up to 3 weeks: 80% refund
Up to 2 weeks: 50% refund
After 2 weeks: No refund

In case of no-show on the day of travel there is no refund, in case of late arrival at the meeting point there is no refund.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
