Font Roja

The Font Rocha Natural Park was the first park in the Valencian Community to be declared as such in 1987. With more than 2,400 species, it has most of the biodiversity of the Valencian Community and its forests are mixed Mediterranean with maples, ashes and gall oaks. The forest, a Site of Community Interest (SCI) is located between Alcoy and Ibi and is a special area for the protection of birds.

9:00 Departure from Valencia

Meet at the meeting point, Avenida Aragon 31, (in front of Mestalla) at 8:45 am.

 

 

11:00 Arrival at Font Roja

Once we get to the Font Roja we will make a stop to go to the toilet and have something to eat and then we will start the route.

Half way

We will stop for lunch and continue with the route.

16:30 End of the route

At the end of the route we will have free time to have a drink and rest.

18:00 Return to Valencia

We will meet the bus at 18:00 to return to Valencia.

We have to be fit to do the hiking route?

You need to be physically fit to do the hiking route.

What is the hiking route difficulty?

You can find all the information of the hiking route in the hiking descrption section above (Distance, diffulty, Map, time etc..).

Should we bring our own food?

Yes, it is recommended to bring your own food because in most of the hiking places it is not possible to buy it.

 

What do I need to hike?

You can consult the section “what to bring” & “hiking description” where it will be clearly mentioned what you need for the excursion. You will also receive an email after the reservation  with detailed information.

Do I need to know how to use a map?

You don’t need to know how to use map, bacause the mountain tours have a professional mountain guide.

How/Where can I book?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

In case of day trips (same day return):

  • Up to one week before the excursion 100% refund in the form of money or voucher for other excursions.
  • Until Thursday (20:00) of the same week of the excursion 100% refund in the form of a travel voucher.
  • After Thursday, no refund. 

In case of a trip of more than one day (Overnight)

  • Up to 1 month before: 100% refund
  • Up to 3 weeks: 80% refund
  • Up to 2 weeks: 50% refund
  • After 2 weeks: No refund

In case of no-show on the day of travel there is no refund, in case of late arrival at the meeting point there is no refund.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
